The club has been fishing from Broadstairs harbour for at least 86 years. The club holds numerous competitions throughout the year and an annual open boat festival in November this year. All the monthly competitions are "closed", that is they can only be fished by members of the club. The festival is an "OPEN" comp and can be fished by non BSPSAS members. Annual Membership is £15 per annum. Monthly competition entry is £5 with an optional £2 pool prize fund. The club has ceased using its tractor at Broadstairs harbour and it is now the responsibility of each owner to ensure safe launching of their boats at a suitable launching area. All size limits are detailed in the club rule book a copy of which can be obtained from the Hon. Secretary. This year the BASS size has been increased to 45cm.
